Starter/starter bacteria for garden ponds

Starter bacteria for ponds are microorganisms introduced to establish the biological filter and nitrogen cycle in a new pond or after a complete cleaning of the filtration system.

They are added to rapidly break down organic matter, prevent spikes in toxic nitrites and ammonia, and ensure a healthy biological balance. It is advisable to wait for the chlorine in tap water to evaporate and, if possible, to turn off the UV lamp for a few days to encourage their growth.
