A UV-C bulb continues to light up long after it has lost its effectiveness. For your clarifier to remain effective against green water, the lamp should generally be replaced every season, ideally in the spring before pond activity resumes.
This collection includes Ubbink PL-type replacement bulbs in 5, 7, 9, 11, 18, 36, 55, and 95 W. To choose the right one, check the wattage indicated on your Ubbink device and verify the base type on the old lamp. Take advantage of the replacement to clean the quartz sleeve: limescale buildup reduces UV transmission.
Always unplug the device before opening the housing.
